As for Mac OS, StarMade requirements here start with OS X Mountain Lion - operating system. Processor needs to be at least Intel Core i5-750 @ 2.66GHz. 4 GB of RAM is required. Your graphics card should be Radeon HD 4850 .. Finally, the game needs 3 GB of free disk space.
